Mike Birkel
President

For over 35 years Mike Birkel has been an innovator in the electrical contracting industry. As early as the 1980’s, Mike recognized the need for Birkel Electric to embrace the use of technology to better serve his customers.

Adam Muise
Vice President of Operations

After serving in the the US Army, Adam Muise followed a new passion to and joined the electrical industry as a commercial electrician in 1996.

Jeremy Kunde
Project Manager

Jeremy found his passion for the electrical trade at a young age as an RC car racer. After searching for a path that would mirror that passion, he found the Electrical Mechanics program at Vatterott College and was instantly hooked.

Ryan Gaston
Project Manager

Ryan began his career as an electrician in 2001. After graduating through the IEC Electrical Training program in 2005, he worked for several independent electrical contractors, earning repeated recognition as a dependable and competent professional.

Chris Eise
Project Manager

Chris joined the electrical field after completing his electrical training with Ranken Technical College in 2009. Noting his older brother’s success as a Birkel Electric team member, Chris accepted a position with the company in 2011.

Lou Schreier
Project Manager

Lou Joins Birkel Electric with comprehensive background of cellular infrastructure construction. He was born and raised on a farm near Flandreau, South Dakota. He came to St Louis to attend Saint Louis University and decided to set roots.

Lou is a licensed Master Electrician and General Contractor.

He enjoys contributing to the political progress of the electrical industry, spearheading the drive for Missouri to adopt Statewide Electrical Licensing, which passed the legislature in 2018.

Sam Stiteler
Business Development Executive

Known within the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry as a trusted advisor and client advocate, Sam leads teams to drive initiatives that deliver strategic growth from project conception through completion. This is accomplished by developing meaningful client relationships, demonstrating technical competencies, and consistently delivering projects that exceed expectations. This drives client trust and loyalty.

Jon Smith
Service Manager

Jon began his career as an apprentice electrician in 1996. After graduating through the IEC Electrical Training program in 2000, he worked for several independent electrical contractors, earning repeated recognition as a dependable and competent professional. Jon joined the Birkel Electric team in 2012 as a Journeyman Electrician and accepted the responsibility of managing large projects as an Electrical Foreman and eventually answering the call in 2020 to lead the Service Team. Jon is recognized for his constant dedication, client relationships, and proficient knowledge of electrical systems.
